As exhibition spaces and relational spaces, the technology and performing internal exhibition volumes will be the counterpart to the outside ever-changing natural landscape. The functional program is developed along the north-south axis, with access to the north, from the Old Market Square. The sequence of spaces is organized around the central exhibition space of the Ziggurat and the rectangular volume.

\nThrough time, stratification and uses, the city is made up of places and practices joined together by an invisible thread that defines relationships and lines of movement. The new Guggenheim becomes one of the points of this sequence of places, point of convergence in the new urban area, linking the harbor to the historical city center and its public context.
\nThe desire to create a new urban space brings the project to shape its boundaries with its own context and to respond to the specificity of these realities:
\n\u2022\tthe new urban square as the missing piece among Etel\u00e4ranta Street, Old Market Hall and Market Square;
\n\u2022\tthe waterfront as part of the new pedestrian cycle promenade from the old city center and the historical harbor to the pedestrian deck of the Olympia Terminal;
\n\u2022\tthe access to the drop-off area from the Etel\u00e4ranta creating a technical wall;
