The project involves redeveloping and salvaging the industrial area where A.L. Colombo used to stand, which is currently abandoned and dilapidated, in order to convert it for business and residential purposes. The idea is, on one hand, to renovate some of the existing buildings converting them from their current industrial-craft function into housing and, on the other, to create new buildings serving mainly business purposes by carrying out demolition, reconstruction and new building work. A new inner-city park will connect together the various projects and, at the same time, provide a juncture (“green” radius) with the other major parks in the belt around Milan.
