“A tripartite vertical which communicates in urban scale, with the buildings that are around. Each element is somehow “slipped” than the other, thereby creating situations which are always different features that characterize each of the areas of the hotel.” AF
Piazza Duca d’Aosta is one of the most important of the city of Milan gateways. The buildings that surround it, including mutual insurance companies play an important role in defining the space in front of the central station. The project is compared to the legacy of a rigid and modular design that remains in front of the building adjacent to the street Vitruvius and characterizes most of existing elevations. The project is to add a new level to the current status, with different architectural characteristics respect to the body below, and will voluntarily be seen as a new “crown.” It is therefore to create a tripartite vertical (stand-crown-body) which communicates in urban scale, with the buildings that are around. Each element is somehow “slipped” than the other, thereby “creating” situations “(porch / deck / ..) which are always different features that characterize each of the areas of the hotel.
