“To make the Cap Vaise site a green lung, to make it permeable within the neighborhood by opening it up thanks to visual breakthroughs open to the heart of the green block, to restore urban functionality.” AF

The project concerns the redevelopment of an activities site historically belonging to the Docks Lyonnais and known as the business park “Parc Cap Vaise”.
The land is located at 14 rue Gorge de Loup and 53 rue Saint Pierre de Vaise in Lyon 9th.
The land area concerned by this project initially belonged to the Docks Lyonnais, a French agri-food distribution company. In recent years, this company has gradually transferred the Cap Vaise activities to several occupants for various purposes: workshops, artisans, offices, schools.
The site, located in the heart of the Gorge de Loup sector, Vaise district in Lyon, is an exceptional place that is currently underoccupied, poorly exploited and landlocked. However, the district is undergoing a complete transformation with the construction of a new school and the upcoming creation of a public park. This naturally arouses interest in the redevelopment of this block.
The project is in line with the guidelines of the charter of urban, architectural, landscape and environmental quality of the City of Lyon regarding five objectives in the service of the ecological transition:
• enhance the quality of life and the quality of urban landscapes;
• develop nature in the city and biodiversity;
• develop a high-quality design of workplaces;
• reduce the carbon impact of constructions;
• have more transparency in the city design process and a promotion of projects.
