In the context of the Son of a Pitch Award, Simonetta Cenci, partner of 500x100 and AF517, and managing director of Atelier(s) Alfonso Femia, awarded Mohammad Bashir Setayeshpoor, 29-year-old Afghan director, for the short film " Only in Afghanistan."

The narrative plot is poignant in its aberrant day-to-day normality: Afghan women, whose daughters are not allowed to attend school, take it upon themselves to teach them the alphabet using an object that in the Western world belongs to a distant technological past.
This is the motivation expressed by Alfonso Femia juror for the Invisible Territories of the Border and Tomorrow section: " The grace of the diligent hand changing the tape cassette, a relic of a technological past that is very distant for the Western world; the chanting scansion of the letters of the alphabet, the determined voice in its reassuring phonetic certainty, the distant scenery, the foot that keeps the rhythm with a slight beat: we know that all this exists, but we turn our backs on it, we turn it into an invisible territory, we scan the uncomfortable awareness of an everyday parallel to ours that seeks in knowledge its redemption from oblivion."

A delicate and particular glance at a territory in permanent distress.
