“Returning identitary value to the school complex means thinking of it as part of the city, a part of the territory that has been rewritten with new spaces. A brief operation recomposes the fragmentary nature of the buildings proposed by the technical and economic feasibility project in a coherent aggregation of simple figures, in full compliance with the functional program.

The buildings appear as porous courtyards, partially closed by an element that contains the convivial functions - canteen and library - in the elementary schools, and by the volume of the gymnasium, which is both a function of the school and a public urban space.
The new conformation allows the realization of a park that gives back to the city a tree-lined front of about 45m.”
