Atypical in the Mediterranean landscape, the port of Trieste resembles, in terms of urban layout and building structure, more to the great ports of northern Europe.
It is in this context that Alfonso Femia/Atelier(s) Alfonso Femia (group leader) - intervenes with great design sensitivity and strengthened by the experiences of the Docks of Marseille and the First Italian State Mint of Rome (now under construction) - in team with Milan Ingegneria, Derna Italia, Tekser, Starching, Maelle Restauri, architect Giovanni Damiani and geological firm Graziano & Masi.
The historic warehouses and the 19th-century building will become the Region's headquarters in a process of overall enhancement of the area.
Simonetta Cenci, general manager of Atelier(s) Alfonso Femia, launched the first technical activities yesterday.
