The Villa Créative project in Avignon, designed by Alfonso Femia / Ateliers Alfonso Femia with DLAA Architectes, has been reviewed by Sky Arte. The work, which will be inaugurated on May 26th, reflects the University of Avignon’s and the city’s desire to create a new bridge between disciplines, combining academic knowledge with the vibrancy of the creative industries.
It includes four thematic pavilions, an 80-seat auditorium, audio/video recording studios, 800 sqm of offices for start-ups, a living lab, coworking spaces, creative industry companies, as well as exhibition galleries and areas dedicated to interdisciplinary research. The project involves numerous institutional and private partners, including La French Tech Grande Provence, which will support tech start-ups in the cultural sector, and the École des Nouvelles Images, one of the most awarded animation schools in the world.
