The executive design of the Social Housing project has been completed. Outcome of a competition won by Alfonso Femia / Atelier(s) Alfonso Femia, as part of the "One Thousand Homes for Bologna" project. The construction site will be opened after the tender for the contractors.
The temporary grouping is led by Atelier(s) Alfonso Femia with MAIN (construction management), Nier Ingegneria (safety coordination during design and execution phases), Bios and Michelangelo Pugliese (architecture and landscape).
Particular attention was paid to the creation of an active basement: permeable ground floor equipped with collective services. Four porticoed entrances lead to the central courtyard, a place designed for communal and social activities. The entire architecture not only responds to the necessary criteria of sustainability and efficiency but also intends to develop a real dimension of psychological comfort. In addition to this, the compositional and material choices, and the floor plan design, are also part of an urban well-being goal.
