Scuola Social Impact / How can we design new schools in a scenario of demographic crisis?Scuola Social Impact, Alfonso Femia's research on school architecture: how can we design new schools, in a scenario of demographic crisis?
Today Corrado Zunino writes in an article published by #laRepubblica that in the last ten years 2621 schools have been closed, 1445 private schools recognized by the state, 1176 public, preschool and primary schools. In the next 10 years 1200 more schools will be closed and every year there will be 120 thousand fewer students. These numbers hide important social and environmental consequences, shut down buildings, poorly equipped to be transformed quickly, and the necessity to assign groups of students to reasonably close facilities.
Transformability, reversibility, multifunctionality: the criteria that must be taken into account.
