A new perspective for the Salerno Airport: the expansion project was unveiled yesterday, an architectural vision that declares its Mediterranean-ness, celebrating the local culture.
Three elements, respect for the environment, integration with the territory, and connection with the landscape transform the airport from an undifferentiated and globalized place to a balanced implant, in the scenery of the Salerno inland.

The research work carried out with architect Giovanni Aurino, and photographers Mario Ferrara and Stefano Anzini, revealed the paths that needed to be followed, gave shape to the design dimension of light - unique at these latitudes - which allows to imagine a hub open to the landscape, in a balanced relationship between nature and artifice.

A design concept particularly appreciated by President De Luca, because of the wise and poetic relationship with light and the desire to establish a dialogue with the territory, which combines not only technological innovation, but also of approach, according to a new Mediterranean soul.
