PRESENTATION OF THE MASTERPLAN FOR THE HISTORIC CENTER OF LATINAOn March 5, 2025, Alfonso Femia, Francesco Romagnoli and Emilio Ranieri presented the project of the masterplan for the historic center of Latina to the City Planning Department.
A phased project: the city's centenary, 2032, is the first step that will be followed by subsequent interventions aimed at restoring Latina's identity as a city of water. By highlighting its original layout through a green program and through its "iconic" buildings designed in part by Angiolo Mazzoni, the project redesigns the city with a view to social impact.
Squares, public space, green spaces, enhancement of drainage channels, mobility, parking lots: interventions that are part of a 7, 15, 30 and 50-year journey, built through urban planning anchored in the future and a reconnection with nature.
“Latina is a city-territory, made of empty and full spaces; a balance to be revealed that has always existed. The project aims to enhance the founding city, based on its water lines.” AF
