On May 27, the Villa Créative was inaugurated in Avignon. A multifunctional destination, the building was redeveloped by Alfonso Femia / Atelier(s) Alfonso Femia and DLAA.Architectes, on the heritage side.
The architecture is structured around four dimensions: conviviality and diffusion, coworking, a digital audiovisual platform, and continuing education. The objective was not to juxtapose four programs within a single envelope, but rather to create a project that facilitates connections between culture, digital technology, and research.
The Villa Créative is an example of virtuous architecture designed to provide spaces for meeting innovation, science, and thought.
Atelier(s) Alfonso Femia won the competition launched in 2018; construction began in January 2022 and was completed in May 2025.
