The final design for the Primary School in the Borgochiesanuova district in Mantua has been approved.
Defined within the Pinqua program, it stems from the need to bring together two existing elementary schools into one modern hub following the "Scuola Social Impact” guidelines.
Schools have outdoor spaces that are part of the city fabric and can become an integral part of teaching activities.
The ground floor is a permeable and multifunctional space that welcomes children and residents to mixed and convertible activities.
“Contemporary school architecture design does not simply refer to a building model informed by the most modern didactic and pedagogical inputs, it also assigns the school the energy to re-generate the city.
The mobility revisal, and the extension of the park beyond the boundaries of the lot, are tools which aim to the creation of a green filter that protects the school and offers itself to the neighborhood as a new collective space." AF
The school will accommodate 15 classrooms with Montessori sections, 375 students
Revised access mobility is planned to expand the school site and park area as much as possible.
The total covered area between the school and the gymnasium is 4,700 square meters, out of a total of 9,565 square meters in a proportion where 30 percent is covered area and 70 percent is uncovered.
