In the process of being completed: the conversion of the former infantry school into residences, in Montpellier.
Designed by Alfonso Femia / Atelier(s) Alfonso Femia, there are two social impact buildings for the balanced relationship between the architectural and urban planes, enhancing the existing through actions that can recount dimension and space, accentuating the astonishment through its new stairwells, light design (matter and full-height space), and a different way of perceiving reality (the leaning elements, the roof openings).
The public space next to the buildings was a key element in determining the design choices, particularly those related to the basements, which becomes a real interface with the outside.
