Today the first stone will be laid for the construction site of Villa Créative - in Avignon, France - a project by Atelier(s) Alfonso Femia. A complex intervention deeply connected to the historic building "Villa Supramuros" is characterized by the typical 18th-century architecture features, creating a spatial system governed by cultural and technological interdependence of functions.
For some years, in Italy, Alfonso Femia has been working in a social impact logic that finds in his French projects, especially in the one in Avignon, a complete and integrated realization in line with the spirit of the city.
"Innovation terms are changing. Until recently, the physicality of places determined social cohesion or dysfunctionality. Today, the spontaneous tension for aggregation and sharing fuels a social impact architecture in a technology-oriented way. Villa Créative is, in this sense, a paradigmatic example of design planning that looks to tomorrow." AF
