“We love to talk about Imaginary Realism. The front on the railroad is the imaginary linked to the sky, light, kinetic dimension, art, to a sensual and sentimental dimension… the front on Pietralata district is the “real” in other words the architecture, its complexity, compomises, its acts of courage and brutalism, sincerity, its rational and poetic dimension. The architecture i love often has two souls in one, it turns its gaze where, with responsibility and vision, it seeks dialog… with the real. It is made of matter, light, spaces, and not of words or proclamations… because architecture does not belong to a single person, to a specific time, but it passes the baton to other architectures, to other times. I believe in time as a project theme. I looked for this in The Horizontal Tower in Milan, in a threshold between territory ad city, i found it once again in the MSC towers in Genoa in a threshold between sea and sky, between cities and infrastructures, it has come to take a new shape in Rome, in Rome’s sky, between two skies, in the entre deux. Architecture … is a dialog tool!”
