For the 2020 Design Week in Milan, HoperAperta presents “Totem e Tabù. Il mondo capovolto” in the exposition halls of the Wannenes Auction House in Palazzo Recalcati.
Within this exhibition - a collection of objects conceived, imagined and produced to re-interpret the relationship between totemic figures and aesthetic taboos in the contemporary world – Alfonso Femia/AF*Design presents “Mappa Stellare”.
For this installation, Alfonso Femia was inspired by the Nebra sky disk: a metal plate dating back to the Bronze Age with gold applications that clearly depict astronomical phenomena and symbols which once held deep religious meaning. The sky disk is considered to be the oldest concrete depiction of the sky…
