“In project terms, the issue of the ecosystemic relationship between the different lines of water (mountains, plains, and coasts) is seldom considered as, apparently, we have conveniently forgotten the direct connections and laws of cause and effect governing natural phenomena.
City planners and architects have tended to concentrate mainly on the lines of plain and coast - waterfront and riverfront - often with an isolated and decontextualized approach, lacking the necessary awareness and eluding proper responsibility for the land in a global context.” AF
