The objectives of the project are the completion and overall coherence of the intervention, ensuring continuity between the existing and new spaces.
The connection and usability of the environments will be optimized to promote inclusive and accessible use, while sustainability and environmental enhancement will remain central, encouraging eco-friendly and efficient solutions.
The new Paideia Center building, developed over five above-ground floors and one basement level, is designed to meet the needs of the community in an accessible and integrated way.
On the ground floor are the library and a multifunctional educational room, easily accessible via a ramp and an elevator directly from the existing Center’s ground floor. The independent entrance on Via Santorre di Santarosa 14 is equipped with a freight elevator connecting to the basement level.
The first floor hosts medical offices and spaces dedicated to “Autonomy Projects,” promoting users’ self-sufficiency. On the second floor, the gym and inclusive changing rooms provide an environment suitable for everyone. The third floor includes medical offices, a multisensory room, and a music therapy room, with regulatory connections required for ASL accreditation.
The fourth floor is dedicated to the caretaker’s apartment and technical rooms. Finally, the courtyard at ground-floor level offers green areas and play spaces, encouraging social interaction.
The Paideia Center stands as a key reference point for the community, promoting inclusion and support for all.
Energy efficiency improvements reduce energy consumption and CO₂ emissions. A high-performance building envelope, designed to minimize heat loss, plays an important role in maintaining indoor comfort.
A photovoltaic system makes it possible to generate clean and renewable energy.
