March 11th, 2020: the World Health Organization declares the coronavirus pandemic. The whole world is overwhelmed by it, the speed and pervasiveness of its diffusion forced each country to deal with its fragility in welfare, health, and educational policies. In Italy, decades of inaction and political disinterest in schools now show all their gravity. Alfonso Femia - who has gained a wide and in-depth knowledge, thanks to experiences of schools built in France and Italy - begins the “Social Social Impact” research to connect school design to the regeneration of the city.
