Located on a hill, the Ground looks like a huge basin, the opposite prosecution of the undulation of the ground. Public will enter it by passing a “ring” corresponding to the upper edge of the stands; this will originate a feeling of surprise and astonishment. It is possible to enter and exit the ground without running into perception obstacles. To reach the lower stands the public will disappear into the ground: an underground world made of vaults, leading towards the openings which overlook the pitch. The roof covering the stands is an imposing parallelepiped with clear-cut lines and profiles. Going to the ground will become a spatial experience, connected to nature: after all a football field is like a meadow. Light, skyline, dispersion and concentration, naturalness and artificiality… different elements looking for harmonization…
