“A monolithic volume sculpted by exterior spaces, balconies, terraces and exterior wooden cladding that reconstitute the initial volume.” AF
The project is designed as part of the redevelopment of the new Brazza Nord district in Bordeaux. The residential volumes of the project are part of the front built on the Garonne, a front that is compact and unitary in terms of frame and facade materials with a variable profile of the “skyline”. The master plan provides for emergences from height in the plots facing the river. The two volumes of the project will take up this profile: a compact volume of medium height in R + 5 and a tower in R + 11. In the DRC, commercial or activity areas are planned. The facades are treated in the same way, a monolithic volume sculpted by exterior spaces, balconies, terraces and exterior wooden cladding that reconstitute the initial volume. The frame becomes an ordinary element which marks the rhythm of the architectural language. A densification of the frame of the wooden cladding is planned to protect the south and west facades from the sun.
