The project for the New Lido of Moltrasio was born from the need to give a new attractive pole to the community and to make it a reference point within the municipal tourist offer. The objective of the municipal administration is the redevelopment and recovery of the existing property so that there is full use by users, in the context of environmental and urban value; especially in the interest of the community and with a view to increasing the local tourist offer.
The lot, located in the locality of Moltrasio, in the province of Como, has a strategic position with an excellent road connection with respect to the existing road network; the property has an exclusively pedestrian access through the SP Via Regina, which runs along the entire western coast of Lake Como. The building is regulated as a “Special Lake Area building” or as a public space intended for recreational, health, sports and refreshment activities, as well as a landing place for boats and small boats with a temporary stop for access to the lake coast, accommodation and commercial facilities.
The bathhouse is currently bordered to the south by Lake Como, to the north by Via Regina, to the east by a public area used as a resting place overlooking the lake and to the west by the retaining wall of the aforementioned provincial road.
The lot is also included in a strategic context from a tourist point of view as it is a bathing area adjacent to accommodation facilities such as Resorts and wellness centres which could use the area in question as a bathing area for their guests.
