“Connection is the key principle guiding the design, creating visual ties and permeability” AF
Lots 07 and 08 are located in the heart of the Malepère ZAC, an area that historically developed along two main roads at the southeastern entrance to Toulouse: route de Revel and route de Labège. The site is intended for a residential complex of 226 dwellings, with an estimated maximum buildable area of 14,700 m2. The two lots are expected to consist of 55 percent affordable housing and 15 percent subsidized housing, to be developed by Eiffage Immobilier, and 30 percent social housing (provided by Patrimoine).
In the overall design, solids and voids are balanced, to maximize the intake of natural light. Connection is the key principle guiding the design, creating visual ties and permeability. Buildings are grafted into the existing landscape and determine, together, a variation of it. Density and open spaces are balanced in the goal of achieving a suitable balance.
