“Finding oneself living between two parks, among multiple ‘parks’ in a sequence of pauses and rhythms defined by light, by spaces alternately expanding and compressing, by shifting shadows, and by nature.” AF

The intervention area is located at the boundary between the urban environment and the agricultural landscape and is cha-racterized by the presence of large voids that contribute to creating strong elements of discontinuity within the urban fa-bric, while at the same time producing a superimposition between the two major systems.
The project aims to break the closed urban block defined by the detailed development plan by introducing a further referen-ce to the theme of the ring: the courtyard block is in fact hollowed out along the north–south axis, creating a true circular green corridor that operates in continuity with the two large green spaces already defined.
This scheme makes it possible to maximize the value of both building fronts along this axis, optimizing their orientation both with respect to the solar path—with the possibility of double exposure to the east and west—and with respect to privileged views. In fact, both sides of the buildings would overlook two significant green elements.
